How long will my DOT medical certificate be valid?
Most certificates are valid for 24 months. However, the medical examiner may issue a certificate for a shorter duration, such as 12 months, if you have health conditions that require regular monitoring, like high blood pressure.
Can I pass the exam if I have a sleep apnea diagnosis?
Yes, provided your condition is effectively managed and you provide proof of compliance with your treatment, such as a CPAP usage report covering the last 90 days from your device.
